76, passed from this life into the hands of our Lord on November 23, 2012, surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Charles F. Redinger for 56 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Emily (Frederick) Cotter. She is survived by her son Michael Redinger and his wife Barbara of North Scituate, and her daughter Mary Dean and her husband Peter of East Greenwich. She was the mother of the late Mark Redinger. She was the loving grandmother of Amanda Redinger of Providence and Joshua Redinger of Hyde Park, New York. Joan is survived by her brother Thomas Cotter of Johnston, and was pre-deceased by her sisters Veronica Hartman and Ruth Tremblay, and brother Norman Cotter. She is also survived by her beloved nieces Susan (Jacavone) Capraro, Elizabeth Redinger, and Nancy (Cotter) Camara and nephew, Thomas Cotter, Jr. Joan briefly worked as a Telephone Operator for New England Telephone, but her greatest joy in life was being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Before her illness, Joan never let an opportunity go by to help out a friend or neighbor. Her thoughtful expressions of kindness will be forever missed by all those who knew and loved her. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Joseph's Church, Danielson Pike, North Scituate.
