JOAN L. (KAFKA) O'CONNELL
JOAN L. (KAFKA) O'CONNELL, 62, of Truman St., Johnston, passed away Monday, March 16, 2009 at home. She was the beloved wife for 43 years of Arthur J. O'Connell. Born in Providence, she was the devoted daughter of Oscar Kafka of Johnston and the late Jennie (Branco) Kafka.
Besides her husband and father, she was the cherished mother of A.J. O'Connell and his wife Ericka of Plainfield, CT, Jeanine Calkin and her husband Daniel of Harrisville, and Christine Payson and her husband David of Cumberland; loving grandmother of four; and dear sister of Janet Tutalo-Weber of FL, Judy Rossi of Sterling, CT. and the late Joyce Aitchison.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by Committal Prayers in the Highland Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 1 Rhode Island Ave., Johnston at 9:00 a.m.
