Joan E. (Pisanello) Feeney

84, of Saunderstown, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, with her loving family by her side, at Lakeside Nursing Center, North Kingstown. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Carrier) Pisanello.

Joan’s career as a bookkeeper began at Precious Products and White Manufacturing. For many years, Joan was a bookkeeper for Lombardi's 1025 Club, where her dedication and versatility quickly became evident. While she was hired to manage the books, she found joy in contributing to the establishment in many other ways, including food preparation and event planning. Her ability to connect with others through hospitality made her an invaluable part of the team.

Family was at the heart of Joan's life. She found immense joy in spending time with her loved ones, particularly her grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Known for her self-made talent as an interior decorator, Joan also had a passion for cooking, especially during the holidays when she prepared feasts that brought everyone together. Her home was always a gathering place where laughter and love flourished.

Joan is remembered not only for her talents but also for her warmth and generosity. She leaves behind a community enriched by her presence, where her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her.

Joan is survived by her loving children, Wendy Olivo of Warwick, Cristine Sammarco and her husband the late Gary of Saunderstown who Joan lived with for 20 years, and Lora Amitrano and her husband Gene of Warwick. Cherished grandmother of Joseph Olivo, Michael Sammarco, Nicole Sammarco, Matthew Amitrano, Lyla Amitrano, and Ray Sammarco. She was the “King Grandma” of Gio and Gia Sammarco, sister of Hiedi DiPalma of Cranston, Judy Pisanello of LV, and the late Michael “Mickey” Pisanello. She also loved and cared for her two dogs Jinxy and Simba.
