Having attended the Rhode Island School of Design, Mrs. Dalton was an avid painter and art enthusiast. In her younger days she loved to play tennis. During WW-II Mrs. Dalton was employed as a die grinder for the Gorham Silver Company and later worked for the California Artificial Flower Company as a floral arranger and Metalized Ceramics as an electronic component inspector before retiring.
She was the devoted mother of the late John Dalton and Michael Dalton; loving grandmother of Michelle S. La Grandeur and her husband Paul of Bedford MA and Erin N. Foster and her husband Daniel of Johnston; loving great-grandmother of Paul J. La Grandeur, III and Declan M. La Grandeur; and dear sister of the late Mary Jackson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, 1291 Elmwood Ave., Cranston.
Interment at RI Veterans Cemetery will be private and visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
