66, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 10, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Jimmy was surrounded by numerous friends and family in the days leading up to his passing. He was the beloved husband to Brenda (Kearns) Saccoccio and Father to Michael Saccoccio. He was also Godfather to Ava Furtado.
Born in Providence, he was a son of Raymond and Josephine (Clesas) Saccoccio. Coming from a large family, Jimmy leaves behind his brothers Raymond Saccoccio, Sr. and his wife Susan of Springfield, MA, Steven Saccoccio and his wife Lori of Warwick, Kenneth Saccoccio of Cranston, and George Saccoccio and his wife Elsa of North Providence. Jimmy was brother-in-law to Raymond Kearns and his wife Annette Sylvia of Cranston and Richard Olson and Linda Olson (deceased) of Warwick, and Donna Kearns (deceased) of Warwick. of Warwick. Jimmy was also adored as “Uncle Jimmy” to his nieces and nephews, Tammy Comstock DeQuattro, Kimberly Todd, Sun-he Chong Fusco, Carissa Abbey, Katrina Kearns, Briana Kearns, Brianna Medeiros, Amaya Furtado, Raymond Saccoccio, Jr., Daniel Dextradeur (deceased), Kelly Saccoccio, and Avri Howard.
His smile was infectious, and his laughter would fill the room. Known for his sense of humor and quick wit, Jimmy was a true friend to all those who knew him, loyal and steadfast. A longstanding member of the community, Jimmy was the manager of the Olneyville New York System, bringing his distinctive personality to work with him everyday for over 50 years. He was passionate about spending as much time with his family as possible, often cooking and singing in the kitchen. His pastimes included classic cars, bird watching, and curating his watch collection. In the summer you could find him at the beach with his wife and son. Whether by the pool, at family cookouts, or out on the town, Jimmy made an impression everywhere he went. A generous man, he will be remembered as he lived, passionate and full of life.
His VISITING HOURS will be held in the NARDOLILO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday evening from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, with eulogy and prayer service at 7pm. Donations and flowers are kindly accepted.
