JAMES G.HARPIN SR., 46, of Westcott Ave. Cranston passed away Monday June 29, 2009 at home surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with cancer.
He was the beloved husband of Betty Perez-Harpin.
Born in Providence he was the dear son of Oscar Harpin of Coventry and the late Frances (Landers) Harpin. James was a Plant Manager for Contempo Card Co. of Providence for the past 25 years. He enjoyed spending time camping with his family and was an avid Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan.
Besides his wife and his father he was the loving father of Elizabeth Green and her husband Robert of Cranston, Jacqueline Harpin of Coventry and James Harpin Jr. of Cranston, devoted grandfather of Robert, Victoria, Raymond, Angelina, Adrianna and Iziah and one expecting grandchild; and dear brother of Gail Lawrence of North Kingstown, Thomas Harpin of Bradford, RI, Michael Harpin of Coventry and the late David Harpin and William Harpin Sr.
His funeral will be held on Friday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul's Church One St. Paul Place Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
