James Gallagher

James Gallagher, 88 of Cranston passed away on Thursday, April 25th, 2024, at Rhode Island Hospital. Born on July 28th, 1935, to Francis and Martha Gallagher of Brooklyn, New York.

After high school, he worked in the printing business in Manhattan where he met his wife at a church dance. They married in 1962 and soon moved to Rhode Island settling in Cranston.

Raising 2 children their lives were filled with great happiness and love from many friends. Their church was always important, and he was active at the parish up until the end.

He is predeceased by his wife Margaret, his parents, his brothers Frank and Michael and his sister Patricia.

He leaves behind his daughter Meg (Gallagher) Sylvia, his son Christopher, and his wife Lisa and 2 grandchildren Kaitlyn and Collin.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday May 1, 2024, at 10:00 am at Holy Apostles Church, 800 Pippin Orchard Rd., Cranston. Burial will be private.
