JAMES J. DWYER

88, of Narragansett, passed away on Thursday, February 9, 2012 at South County Hospital in Wakefield. He was the beloved husband for 62 years of Teresa A. (Zeiller) Dwyer. Born in New York City, he was the son of the late James J. and Mary (Rice) Dwyer. Mr. Dwyer was a manager at General Electric Company in New Jersey and New York for many years before retiring. He was a WW-II U.S. Navy veteran and was a member of American Legion Post 53 in Ridgewood, NJ. Mr. Dwyer was proud of his Irish heritage and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Patricia A. Petty of North Kingstown, RI, Teresa A. Coffin and her husband Harold of Narragansett, RI, James J. Dwyer of Mahwah, NJ and Robert M. Dwyer of Chicopee, MA; loving grandfather of 13; loving great-grandfather of 14; and dear brother of Sr. Florence Dwyer, O.P. of Blauvelt, NY and the late Marie A. Dwyer and Elizabeth Varley. Funeral from the Nardolillo Funeral Home - SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Rt.1A), Narragansett on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Thomas More Church, 53 Rockland St., Narragansett at 10:00 a.m. Interment with military honors will be at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
