James L. Dromgoole

69, of Naples, FL, formerly of Johnston, RI passed away on November 27, 2016.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Francis and Margaret (Hanratta) Dromgoole.

Jimmy served in the U.S. Navy in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and served aboard the supercarrier USS Forrestal.  He was a long time employee of Sears Roebuck in R.I. and he enjoyed golfing and especially enjoyed all New England Sports Teams.

He was the beloved husband of Cheryl (Campo) Dromgoole for over 43 years; loving father of Marissa (Lori) Janton of Hope, RI, Ryan Dromgoole of Anaheim, CA; brother of Michael (Louise) Dromgoole of Londonderry, NH, JoAnne (John Nicolace) Hayes of Newport, RI and Boynton Beach, FL, and the late Stephen Dromgoole; grandfather of Jaxson and Xavier Janton of Hope, RI; uncle of Ken (Lara Campbell) Dromgoole of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Amy (Brian) Kowall of Cape Cod, MA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10 a.m. in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, 1804 Atwood Ave., Johnston.  Burial with Military Honors will take place in R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
