JAMES A. CORIO

28, a lifelong resident of Cranston, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at home. Born in Warwick, he was the beloved son of Stella M. (Ruscio) Colarusso of Cranston and William A. Corio of North Providence and adored stepson of Peter J. Colarusso and Isabell (Filippi) Corio.

James was a maintenance worker for the City of Cranston School Department for the past ten years and also worked as a presser for his stepfather at Peerless Dry Cleaners in Cranston. In his youth, James was a water boy for the Edgewood Eagles and when he was older, he was a proud member and player.

Besides his parents and stepparents, he was the dear brother of William J. Corio and his wife Jill and Anthony J. Corio and his wife Crystal, all of Cranston; dear stepbrother of Peter M. Colarusso of CO and Denise Carlton of FL; and loving uncle of Myles William Corio and Chloe Marie Belanger.

His funeral will be held Monday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Matthew's Church, 1291 Elmwood Ave., Cranston at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.

VISITING HOURS SUNDAY 4-8 p.m.
