JAMES J. BURNS

72, of Narragansett passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2013, at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. He was the beloved husband of forty seven years to Joyce T. (Martin) Burns. Born in Providence, he was a son of the late James J. and Zita (Tucker) Burns. James was President of Coca-Cola Bottling Company for many years before retiring in 2000.

Besides his wife he is survived by his loving children, James M. Burns of Johnston, Jeffrey J. Burns of Newport, and Jill A. Torres of Providence. He was the cherished grandfather of Courtney, Carley, Julia, James, Jake, Alexa, Jeffrey, and Araceli. He was the brother of Mary Katherine Marcello of Pawtucket, John J. Burns of East Providence, and the late Camilla McDonald.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett. Interment will be private. VISITING HOURS Sunday 3-7 p.m. in the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt.1A) Narragansett.
