JAMES P. BOGOSIAN, 65, of Legion Way, Cranston, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2007 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital in North Providence. He was the beloved husband for 37 years of Barbara J. (Schofield) Bogosian.
Born in Providence, a son of the late Harry and Mary (Simourian) Bogosian, he moved to Cranston in 1978.
Mr. Bogosian was the owner of Penalty Box Sports in Warwick for the past 37 years. He was the founder of the Senior Hockey Leagues in both Smithfield and Warwick, and was a Youth hockey coach in Cranston and Warwick. He loved playing hockey, softball and bowling in leagues across RI, and enjoyed oldies music, antique cars and playing cards.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of James P. "Jay" Bogosian and his wife Siobhan of Middletown, and Kimberly E. Pereira and her husband John of Cranston; loving grandfather of Alyssa Pereira; and dear brother of Irene Matoian of Lincoln, Robert Bogosian of Providence and Harry Bogosian of Warwick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Armenian Euphrates Evangelical Church, 13 Franklin St., Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Sunday 4-8 p.m.
Burial will be in Mount St. Mary Cemetery, Pawtucket.
