76, of Warwick passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2021 following her courageous battle with lymphoma. She was the loving mother of Domenic Valenti, Jr. (wife Robin), Tina Dennis, and Tracy Valenti (partner Jason Major). Jackie was a proud grandmother to Domenic, David, and Danielle Valenti and Morgan Dennis. She is survived by her sister Carolyn Tareteta (husband Joseph) and also by her loving companion Phillip Gibree. Born October 26, 1945, she was a longtime resident of Johnston and daughter of the late Giacomo “Jack” and Angela “Granny” (DiFazio) Cardarelli.
Prior to retiring, Jackie loved her job as a medical billing specialist where she made many lasting friendships. Jackie enjoyed crocheting, traveling, reading, gardening, baking, and collecting sea glass. Over the years, she loved caring for her animals, especially her beloved dogs. Jackie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, dining out, and shopping. She was proud of her Italian heritage and cherished her trip to Italy in 2001. Last year, Jackie fulfilled her lifelong dream of writing her own novel and happily shared it with her family and friends.
We can’t count the many ways we will miss Jackie. We are so thankful for the wonderful and loving memories she has left us all. She was the light of our family and we are forever grateful for our time with her. She taught us love, strength, and compassion, but above all that family is what matters most.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Friday at 10:00 am in St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
