Isabel 'Bel' (Prata) Picozzi

87, of North Providence, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Albert Picozzi. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Marciaro) Prata. Isabel graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing and Advertising. She was a Trustee of the Arthur E. Coia Scholarship Fund, a former Trustee of Rhode Island College and was a former member of Alpine Country Club. Isabel was an avid tennis player, seasoned bowler, skilled bridge player and will forever be known as the "Cookie Queen."
She is survived by her loving daughters, Joy Picozzi Daly and her husband Robert Daly and Karen Santanello. She was also the cherished grandmother of Alanna, Aurelia, Christopher, Dacia, Alyssa, Kayla, Robert, Thomas; and great grandmother of Gianni. Isabel was also the dear sister of Joseph Prata.
Her funeral will be held on Monday at 8:45 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Augustine's Church, Mt. Pleasant Ave., Providence. Burial will take place in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS: Sunday 4-8 pm.
