IRENE P. ( DosSANTOS) TAVARES

91, of Richfield Ave., East Providence, passed away on Saturday November 7, 2009 at RI Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of the late John Tavares. Born in Aqua d'Alto S.Miguel Acores she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Alexandrina (Santos) DosSantos. Irene was an assembler for Davol Mfg. Company for 12 years before her retirement. She was the mother of Luis Tavares and his wife Connie, Stella Resendes and her husband Orlando, Angel Maria and the late Myron Maria, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and her two brothers Manuel and Antonio Santos. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of The Rosary 21 Traverse St. Providence, RI at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Visiting hours Monday 5-8 p.m.
