IRENE (CARDI) QUINTAVALLO
102, of Oaklawn Ave., Cranston passed away on Monday, March 22, 2010 at Kent Hospital, Warwick. She was the wife of the late Domenic Quintavallo. She was born in Itri, Italy a daughter of the late Domenico and Rosa ( Corpolongo ) Cardi and had resided most of her life in Cranston. Irene was a clerk employed by Cardi's Furniture Store until her retirement. She was a member of the Cranston Senior Center and a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Cranston. She is survived by her siblings, Dr. Alphonse Cardi, Dr. Erminio Cardi, Mary( Cardi ) Barone and Elizabeth " Betty "( Cardi ) Paolella all of Cranston. She was the sister of the late Peter, Nicholas and Paul Cardi, Angelina Cantone and Rev. Rolando Cardi. " She competed well; She has finished the race; She has kept the faith". Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:am in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St., Cranston, followed by internment in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Hope Alzheimer's Center, 25 Brayton Ave., Cranston, RI 02920.
