IRENE L. PITOCCHELLI

91, of Preston Avenue, Cranston passed away on Friday, September 11, 2009 at Cra-Mar Meadows, Cranston. She was the wife of the late Raymond A. Pitocchelli. They had been married for 59 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Domenic and Maria (DiPaolo) Marchionda. Mrs. Pitocchelli was employed by the former St. Joseph's Hospital, Providence for several years. Irene truly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and always saw the good in people, and was loved by everyone she met. She is survived by two sons: Raymond A. Pitocchelli and his wife Catherine of Mansfield, MA and Steven F. Pitocchelli and his wife Sandy of Cranston, Grandma of Kara Sousa, Jill Godbout and Alison Pitocchelli, Great Grandmother of 4. Irene was also the sister of the late Ralph Marchionda, Jen Iacobucci and Marion Ciccone. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10:00 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston at 11:00 am.
