IRENE P. MARCHAND

92, peacefully passed into the Lord's arms on Sunday, December 30, 2007. Born in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Maxime and Elizabeth (Boudreau) Girouard. She was the beloved wife of the late Theodore L. Marchand and lived most of her life in Pawtucket until retiring in Matunuck, RI. Irene was employed for many years as a proof reader for the Pawtucket Times newspaper. She was an avid reader, card player and athlete with a great appreciation for music and dancing. She was the caring and devoted mother of Marilyn Stebenne and her husband Russell of Cumberland, Carolyn DelFino and her husband Ronald of Cranston and Sr. Elaine Marchand, RSM of Pawtucket. She was greatly cherished and admired by her grandchildren Russell Stebenne II, David Stebenne, Gina Tocco and Jonathan DelFino. Her four great grandsons affectionately called her "Memee". Irene was very happy to have enjoyed a very special circle of friends and caretakers at Victoria Court Assisted Living where she spent her last years. She will be sadly missed by all. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9:00am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston at 10:00am. Burial will be in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS Tuesday 4-8pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: Mt.
