Irene B. (Genest) Furtado
80, formerly of Cranston, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015, at Kent Regency, Warwick. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Furtado. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Emile and Bertha (Duhaime) Genest. Mrs. Furtado retired from Swarovski.
Irene is survived by her loving children Deb Rocha of Cranston, Paul Furtado of Florida, Ronald Furtado of Coventry, Joan Harrell of South Carolina and Michele Furtado-Boire of Cranston and the late Allan Furtado; cherished grandmother of 9 and great-grandmother of 7. She was a sister of Lorraine Theroux, Claire Barbosa, Donna Burdett and the late Herve and Robert Genest.
Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 6th, at 11:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston. Burial will take place in Pawtuxet Memorial Park, Warwick. VISITING HOURS: Thursday from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
