IRENE D. FIDI

82, of Johnston, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 3, 2012, at home. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Adolfo and Felicita (Danella) Fidi. Irene was a junior accountant for Amica Insurance Company in Providence for twenty-five years before her retirement. She volunteered at the Our Lady of Grace Church Feast and was a member of the Manton Senior Center. Irene was an avid bowler.

She is survived by her brother Salvatore P. Fidi of Monson, MA, nine nieces and nephews, nine great-nieces and nephews, and one great-great niece. Irene was the sister of the late Teresa Angelone, Jennie M. Fidi-Luft, Victor C. Fidi, Adolfo R. Fidi, and Elsie F. D'Ippolito.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, George Waterman Road, Johnston. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are respectfully omitted. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to Concord Home Health Services, 30 Rolf Square, Suite 1, Cranston, RI 02910, or Odyssey Hospice, 2374 Post Road, Suite 206, Warwick, RI 02886.
