Ida I. DiPippo 82, of Hazael Street, Providence, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Cortland Place, Smithfield. She was the former wife of the late Adolph L. DiPippo, Sr. Born in Providence; she was a daughter of the late Gregory and Mary (Marchetti) Sargino. Ms. DiPippo was employed by the Catholic Diocese of Providence for many years. She also worked for the former Junction Human Service Corporation of Providence in the Adolescent Behavior Program before retiring in 1994. She is survived by her loving children, Adolph L. DiPippo, Jr. and his wife Marilyn of Cranston, Esther M. Major and her husband Michael of Cranston, Paul DiPippo and his wife Elizabeth of North Scituate, Robert DiPippo and his wife Roxanne of Cranston, Pasquale DiPippo and his wife Denise of Cranston and Gregory DiPippo of Providence. Ms. DiPippo was the grandmother of seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late John Sargino, Mary Benjamin and Michael Sargino. Ida was the loving friend of John Cabral of Greenville. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
