IDA (PALMA) MONTI

Ida (Palma) Monti 93, of Riverview Healthcare Community, Coventry, formerly of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January, 24, 2009 at Kent Hospital, Warwick, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Pasquale Monti. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Pasquelina Palma. Mrs. Monti enjoyed walking the track, bingo, playing cards and spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Patricia Fiore of Cranston, Carolyn Monti of Johnston, Stanley Monti and his wife Karen of Exeter, Frank Monti and his wife Evelyn of San Angelo, Texas and the late Maria Monti. She was the devoted grandmother of Thomas W. Fiore, Edward and Maribel Piccirillo, Michelle and Timothy Villandry and Bryan Monti. She was also the great grandmother of Kaitlyn and James Villandry, Virginia and Sofia Piccirillo and Sirena and Martin Ramirez. Mrs. Monti also leaves many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Horace, Ernest and Phyllis Palmer, Helen Barbieri, Emily Palozzi, Caroline Ragosta and Anna Malone. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Tuesday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Ann's Church, Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.VISITING HOURS Tuesday morning 8:00-9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Riverview Healthcare Community Activity Fund, 546 Main Street, Coventry, RI 02816 or VNA of Care New England, Hospice Program, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886.
