Ida (DiLibero) Mangiante, 97, a lifelong resident of Providence, died Friday, September 18, 2009. She was the wife of the late John A. Mangiante for 66 years. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Marianna (Palumbo) DiLibero.
She retired from Monet Jewelry after many years of service. Ida also participated in several clubs, including The Blessed Sacrament Church Club; Italo-American Club; Manton Seniors and Hillcrest Seniors. She had a quick wit, always ready with a smile, and was loved by many family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Ralph E. Mangiante of Cape Coral, FL, John A. Mangiante and his wife Elaine of Wakefield and Maryann Famiano and her husband Anthony of Warwick. Ida was the grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of four. She was the sister of Alfred DiLibero of North Providence, Ann Germano of Rochester, NY and the late Elvira Coccoli, Domenic Di Libero, Lucy Barone and Evelyn Palazzo.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday at 9:45 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Timothy's Church, 1799 Warwick Ave., Warwick. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. VISITING HOURS SUNDAY 4-8 p.m.
