94, of Narragansett, passed away on Friday December 23, 2011 at the Scalabrini Villa, North Kingstown. She was the beloved wife of the late Armando "Mac" Maccarone.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Giovanni and Nicolena (Stracqualursi) Trementozzi. Ida was an Administrative Assistant at Rhode Island College in the Physical Science Department for30 years retiring in 1990. She also worked for the Department of Defense in Washington DC during WW-II, and also was an avid painter.
She was the devoted mother of Joseph A. Maccarone of South Kingstown and Christine M. Nelson of North Providence; loving grandmother of five; and loving great-grandmother of five. She was the dear sister of Florence Simms of Pawtucket, Maria Doyle of East Providence, Ronald Trementozzi of Smithfield and the late Elsie Corbett, Irene Mazur, Henry and Raymond Trementozzi.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday at 9 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave. Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston St. Cranston at 10 a.m. Interment will be at St. Ann Cemetery, in Cranston.
