Ida (Caparco) DeBiasio

82, of Johnston, passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Miriam Hospital, Providence. Ida was the beloved wife of Lorenzo DeBiasio, Sr., for fifty-nine years. Born in Teano, Italy, she was a daughter of the late Silvestro and Assunta (DeSpirito) Caparco.  A woman of strong faith, Ida was a child sponsor and a member of the Society Femminile di Mutuo Soccorso San Antonio de San Paride.

Besides her husband Lorenzo, Ida is survived by her two loving children, Tina Deusch and her husband Fred of Sanford, FL and Lorenzo DeBiasio, Jr., of Johnston. She was the sister of Maria Marziale of Johnston, Julia Monahan of Johnston, Giovanni Caparco formerly of Warwick and the late Anthony and Carmino Caparco.  Ida is lovingly remembered by cousins, nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and friends.

Ida was generous in spirit, visiting the sick as well as newborn family members.  She enjoyed socializing with family and friends and celebrating life.  Ida was always the life of the party and stylishly dressed.  She did all things with love, graciously caring for family and friends through her passionate cooking and baking from the heart.  Everyone raved about Auntie Ida’s delicious Italian wedding cookies, wandies, and escarole pies.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 29th, at 9:00 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Rocco’s Church, Johnston. Entombment will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS: Friday from 4:00-7:00 p.m.
