Hovanes Dedeian, 86, of Macintosh Drive, Cranston, died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Eliza (Khrimian) Dedeian.
Born in Lebanon, a son of the late Tatos and Nvard (Keshishian) Dedeian, he moved to Yerevan, Armenia in 1947, before coming to the U.S. in 1974.
Mr. Dedeian was a self employed carpenter.
He was the devoted father of Mkrtich Dedeyan, Miran Dedeian, Zvart Tahmassian and Nvard Dedeian, all of Cranston; loving grandfather of seven; and dear brother of Shake Aktchian of Providence, and the late Gulizar Mikaelian, Lucine Kozinian and Miran Dedeian.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Monday 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sts. Vartanantz Church, or Armenian Relief Society-Arax Chapter, 402 Broadway, Providence, RI 02909.
