Herbert C. Hearne

Hearne, Herbert C., 85, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2020.  He was the husband of Carol L. (Aaron) Hearne and the late Joan (Duggan) Hearne.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Peter and Catherine (Crane) Hearne.

He graduated from LaSalle Academy and received a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Providence College.

Mr. Hearne was a US Army Veteran.  He worked for Hanover Insurance Group before retiring in 2000.

Herb was an avid golfer and enjoyed skiing and traveling.

He leaves five children, Stephen Hearne (Lynne) of Wakefield, Laurie Beaty (Terence) of Fairfield, CT, Lisa Larmay (Gary) of Shoreham, VT, David Hearne (Lynn) of Boxborough, MA and Pol Klein of Washington, DC; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 28, 2020 at 11am in St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett.  A livestreaming of Mr. Hearne’s mass can be found at https://stmarystaroftheseari.org/.
