Herbert Bucci

88, of Narragansett and Sun City Center, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 12, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Mildred “Millie” (Silva) Bucci. They were married for 66 years. Born in Cranston, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Rose (DiMuccio) Bucci.

Herbert was a US Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He then pursued a career at John Hancock Life Insurance for over 40 years. He received numerous awards and commendations in sales, achieved the coveted CLU designation, and was promoted to District Manager. Upon retiring from John Hancock, he continued his work and passion as he then worked for a family insurance agency until he was 80 years old. His work ethic was unparalleled.

Besides his wife Millie, he is survived by his loving children, Deborah R. Buffi and her husband James of Smithfield, Cynthia A. Rotondo of Johnston, Gary H. Bucci and his wife Susan of Cranston, Lisa M. Bucci and her husband Roger Kocijan of University Park, FL; nine cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was the dear brother of Pasco Bucci, Anthony Bucci, Eugene Bucci, Brenda Sepe, Joyce Calitri and the late Ralph Bucci, Lillian Sabatini, Carmela Alviti and Grace Errico.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Tuesday at 8:45 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Grace Church, Johnston. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be held on Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Tomorrow Fund or RI Veterans’ Home, Bristol, RI.
