HENRY R. WOOD

Henry R. Wood 86, of Budlong Manor, Arthur Street, Cranston, passed away on Friday December 21, 2007 at R.I. Hospital, Providence. He was the husband of the late Helen (Flynn) Wood. Born in Cranston, he was the son of the late Henry E. and Alice (Fuller) Wood. He was a WW II Army Veteran. Mr. Wood was employed as a general foreman for General Fittings for 20 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Budlong Manor Association and the Cranston Senior Center. He is survived by his two daughters, Janice E. Simonelli of Coventry and Maureen B. Saccoccio and her husband James of Cranston, a brother, Earl H. Wood of ME., and a sister, Estelle A. Popec of MA. He was the grandfather of Lori Welchman and her husband George, Kristen Davidson and her husband Anthony and Michael Simonelli. He was the great-grandfather of Arianna and Isabella Welchman and Noah Davidson. He was the father of the late Henry F. "Woody" Wood and brother of the late Andrew Wood, Edith Mangano-Sitko, Florence Place, Mariam Wood and Eunice Wood.
