Henry Meola, 87, of Providence, passed away Monday at Our Lady Fatima Hospital, North Providence. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn (Zoglio) Meola. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Nicola and Maria (Petrucci) Meola. Mr. Meola was a Army/Airforce WW11 Veteran. He was a general foreman for General Cable for 29 years, before retiring. Henry enjoyed traveling and dining out with his wife and was an avid Yankee Fan. He especially looked forward to annual trips to Yankee Stadium with his nephews and faithfully followed his great nephews and nieces sporting events. Mr. Mela was a communicant and usher at St. Bartholomew's Church for many years. He was the beloved uncle of Vincent Meola, Paul Meola, Anthony DelGreco and his wife Diane and Joseph DelGreco Jr. Beloved great uncle of Nicholas, Kathryn and Matthew DelGreco He was the brother of the late Vincent Meola and Antonetta DelGreco Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday at 9 a.m. in St. Bartholomew's Church Providence, followed by interment in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
