of Princess Ave., Cranston, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at West View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in West Warwick. He was the beloved husband of the late Maria A. “Etta” (Archetto) Archetto.
Mr. Archetto was a microbiologist for the State of Rhode Island Dept. of Health and owner of the former Central Medical Laboratory. He graduated from Providence College in 1937, later taking graduate courses at MIT and attended Georgetown Medical School. He was a Lifetime Member of the Elks and was inducted into the Cranston Hall of Fame in 2015.
Mr. Archetto was the devoted father of Maria A. Archetto, PhD and her husband Ralph Hickman of Oxford, GA, Linda C. Archetto of Cranston, Michael A. Archetto and his wife Gail of Coventry and Councilman Paul H. Archetto of Cranston; loving grandfather of Glenn M. Archetto and his wife Hollie of Coventry; cherished great-grandfather of Ava and Piper; and dear brother of the late Daniel Archetto, Angelo Archetto, Irene Zaroogian, Julia Izzo, Alfred Archetto and John Archetto.
Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Friday, December 28th at 9 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary’s Church, Cranston at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS are Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
