HELENE (LICHENBERGER) LILLY

99, of Johnston, died Monday, June 21, 2010 at Briarcliffe Manor, Johnston. She was the wife of the late James M. Lilly. Born in New York City, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helene (Wagener) Lichtenberger. Mrs. Lilly was an elementary school teacher for fifteen years before her retirement. She was also employed as a laboratory technologist. Helene was a graduate of Adelphi College, class of 1931. She is survive by her children, Susan L. Arent and her husband Gordon of Griswold, CT and Carolyn L. Picken and her husband Marshall of The Villages, FL. Helene was the grandmother of seven and the great-grandmother of twelve. She was the sister of the late Elsie Engel. Her funeral services and burial will be private.
