HELEN E. (WHITTEMORE) SPENCER

84, of Providence died Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at Our Lady of Fatima Hospital, North Providence. She was the beloved wife of the late William E. Spencer. Born in Fitchburg, MA, she was a daughter of the late Lester C. and Gladys (Fielder) Whittemore. Helen was a medical secretary for twenty years before retiring in 1981. She is survived by her loving daughters, Madeline J. Horner of Providence and Patricia S. Pagliarini and her husband Mark of Cranston. Helen was the cherished grandmother of Mark E. Pagliarini, Jr. and Kyle W. Pagliarini. She was the sister of the late Dorothy Holden. Her funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston. Inurnment will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS Sunday 4-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Rhode Island Zoological Society, Roger Williams Park Zoo, 1000 Elmwood Avenue, Providence, RI 02907-3659.
