HELEN A. (CHRISTY) MESCHINO

83, formally of Cranston died Thursday May 29, 2008 at the West Shore Health Center, Warwick. She was the wife of the late Thomas Meschino Jr. Born in Cranston she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Frances (Zito) Christy. Helen was a co-owner along with her husband of the former Meschino's Market in Warwick and Foodtown Market in Cranston. She was a member of the Knightsville Manor Tenants Association. She is survived by her children Marcia Meschino and Marilu Varesi both of Cranston, Judith Truett of TX and Thomas Meschino III of Warwick, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren. She was the sister of Col. John J. Christy, US Army Ret. of IN, Marie Rocchio and Etta Crudale both of Cranston and the late Joseph and Alphonse Christy. Her funeral will be held on Monday at 10am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary's Church, Cranston at 11am. Burial will be in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.
