Helen C. (Oleska) Legenza

84, entered into heaven peacefully on March 9, 2014, surrounded by her loving family at the Scalabrini Villa, North Kingstown. She was the wife of the late Walter Anthony Legenza. Born in Central Falls, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Charnowska) Olszewski. Helen loved Bingo, reading, her children and grandchildren. Being religious, one of her greatest gifts to her children was her Christian faith. Beloved mother of Nancy Ann Mattiello and her friend Philip Bruno of Providence, Karen Ann DelleFave and her husband Robert of Cranston and Sally Ann McGrath and her husband Brendan of Coventry. Cherished Grandmother of Kathy Ann Lewandowski, AnnMarie Zanni, Sarah Ann McGrath and Brendan Thomas McGrath. Great-grandmother of Kaitlin Ann Lewandowski, Elizabeth Ann Lewandowski and Michael Anthony Zanni. Sister of the late Jean Poniatowski, Edward Oleski, Florence Doyle, Sophie "Sue" Jaques, Stella Banna, Jessie Simick, Mary Picotte, Stanley Oleski, Frederick Oleski and Millicent Belch. She also leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. Her funeral and burial will be private.
