Helen (Palumbo) Geerhold

88, passed away on October 20, 2018 after a long illness.  Born in Cranston to Carmella and Lewis Palumbo, Helen attended Cranston High School and Bryant College. Following her marriage to the late William Geerhold, she moved first to New Hampshire, then to the Middle East before returning to New Hampshire and eventually to North Kingstown, RI.  Helen worked as an administrative assistant for the Providence Wire Co., law firms and Urban Renewal in New Hampshire, the Arabian American Oil Co., and various medical practices prior to retiring. She is pre-deceased by her husband, William, her son, Joel, and her brother Gordon Palumbo of Cranston.  She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl of Sheffield, MA, granddaughters Lauren and Jenny Quilty of Cambridge and Brookline, MA, her brothers Lewis Palumbo of Bradenton, Fl, Richard Palumbo of Cranston, Donald Palumbo of Sun City, FL, and sisters Barbara DePasquale of North Kingstown, Pauline Kiernan of Warwick, and Jayne Bojar of Sun City, FL as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a memorial service at St. Kateri Tekakwitha in Exeter, RI on Saturday, November 17 at 11:00am.
