HARRY M. AHLIJANIAN, 77, of Sweet Corn Dr., Cranston, passed away Monday, July 21, 2008 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center in Providence. He was the beloved husband for 52 years of Zarie K. (Krikorian) Ahlijanian.
Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Misak H. and Vartouhi (Andrikian) Ahlijanian.
A 1953 graduate of Wentworth Institute School of Architectural Engineering, Mr. Ahlijanian was an Architecture Facilities Engineer with Grinnell Fire Protection for many years, and later at Kent County Memorial Hospital in Warwick, before retiring. He was a U.S. Army Korean War Veteran; and a member of Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, where he was a past member of the Parish Council and Church Building Committee.
Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Michael K. Ahlijanian and his wife Carol of Wellesley, MA, Roxane Stevenson and her husband Daryl of Kennesaw, GA and Paul H. Ahlijanian and his wife Jennifer of Exeter; loving grandfather of Torey, Ella, Abigail and Marley; and dear brother of the late John Ahlijanian.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service Friday at 11:00 a.m. in Sts. Sahag & Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence, and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston on Thursday 4-8 p.m.
Interment will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence.
