Harout J. Torossian

of Westwood, MA, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Azadouhi (Sinanian) Torossian. Born in Allepo, Syria, he was the son of the late Hagop and Anahid (Karamanougian) Torossian; loving father of Ani Doursounian and her husband Raffi, Carla Toranian and her husband Roupen, Palig Garabedian and her husband Raffi and Artvine Nekrourian and her husband Abraham; cherished grandfather of Arev, Nani, Sabeen, Pateel, Lara, Nigol, Kyle, Krikor and Meghree; loving brother of Maral Darakyan and the late Melkon Torossian, Nerses Torossian, Elise Donoyan, Rosine Arslanian and Ossanna Donoyan. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

 Harout lived life to its fullest. He was a lover of words, literature, higher education, art, music, and all finer and beautiful things in life. Most of all, Harout loved his wife of 61 years, Azad, their daughters and families, and especially his nine grandchildren. Harout was kind, humble, generous and wise. The entire Torossian, Donoyan, Arslanian, Sinanian and Ishkhanian families and relatives mourn Harout Torossian’s passing.

 Visiting hours are Tuesday, February 18th from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, 402 Broadway, Providence, RI with a Funeral Service at 11 a.m., followed by burial at North Burial Ground, Providence, followed by a memorial luncheon at Sts. Vartanantz Church Hall, all to which relatives and friends are invited.
