Hakop J. Souvalian

Hakop J. Souvalian, 78, of Holburn Ave., Cranston, RI, passed away Monday, March 21, 2022.  He was the beloved husband of Svetlana (Naltchadjian) Souvalian.  Born in Cairo, Egypt he was the son of the late Noubar and Arpine (Garabedian) Souvalian.  He moved to Yerevan Armenian in 1944 and served in the Armenian military before moving to the U.S. in 1980.  Hakop was a sheet metal fabricator for many years before retiring.

He was the devoted father of Khoren P. Souvalian and his wife Geralyn of Cranston, Noyem Kuhn of Warwick and Andranik “Andy” Souvalian and his wife Eimy of Cranston; dear brother of Nevart Thomassian of Montreal, Canada; and cherished grandfather of Khoren, Austen, Nathen, Allison, Julia, Eric and Emily.

A Memorial Service to which relatives and friends are invited, will be held on Thursday, March 24th at 11 a.m. in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence.
