92, formerly of Cranston died Saturday February 6, 2011 at the Hebert Nursing Home Smithfield. He was the husband of the late Theresa (Tagliaferri) Pennacchia. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Natalino and Teresa (Menna) Pennacchia. He was employed by Quonset Naval Station for 27 years before retiring and was a WW-2 Army Veteran.
He is survived by two daughters Diane Large and her husband William of Johnston, Bernadetta Starlin of Johnston and a son Guido Pennacchia Jr. of Johnston; four grandchildren Nicole and Jeffrey Large, Ashley Starlin-Murphy and Shane Starlin; two great grandchildren Stephen and Blake Murphy; a sister Rose Mazzei of Cranston and a brother Albert Pennacchia of Providence. He was the brother of the late Vincenza Cabral, Filomena Umberto, Philip, Joseph and Angelo Pennacchia.
His funeral will be held on Saturday at 9 am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY 1278 Park Ave. Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bartholomew's Church Providence at 10 am. Burial, with military honors, will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Friday 5-8pm.
