GUIDO GALLO

Guido Gallo 92, of Coventry, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Roger Williams Medical Center, Providence. He was the husband of Lucy P. (Caruso) Gallo. They were married for sixty-eight years. Born in Naples, Italy he was a son of the late Benedetto and Antonia (Sciacca) Gallo. Mr. Gallo was a hairstylist and the owner of Lu Gallo's Beauty Salon in Warwick for over fifty years before retiring in 1985. He was a US Army veteran serving during WW II. Mr. Gallo was a Past Counselor of the United Commercial Travelers. He had been active in the Holy Name Society of Holy Ghost Church and was an avid golfer. Besides his wife he is survived by his children the Hon. Bennett R. Gallo and his wife Kathleen of West Greenwich, David G. Gallo and his wife Maryann, Robert J. Gallo and his wife Betty Ann all of Coventry, James A. Gallo, MD of West Greenwich and LuAnn M. Gallo of Coventry. Mr. Gallo was the grandfather of nine. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston on Friday at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in St. Vincent de Paul Church, 6 St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
