Grenville N. Frazer 78, of Wakefield passed away peacefully Sunday evening July 1, 2007 at RI Hospital in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Ruth (Knowlton) Frazer. Mr. and Mrs. Frazer would be celebrating their 56th wedding anniversary July 21, 2007. He was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts a son of the late Grenville A. and Doris (Cater) Frazer. Grenville lived in Jamestown for 47 years before moving to Wakefield. He worked for 45 years in railroad service, New Haven and Penn Central for freight and Amtrak for passenger. Starting when steam engines needed water and ending as CBN1 Amtrak's number one Passenger conductor and a carpenter for some of the first Trans-Pacific race boats. He was also a WW II Navy veteran stationed at Pearl Harbor. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Tracy K. Frazer her husband David Girasole, and their daughter Cheylsea, his son Jeffrey S. and Laura Frazer and their sons Jake and Devin, his brother Brig Gen. Thomas Frazer and his wife Carolyn and his sister Connie Licciardi her husband Fred also several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Robert, Ronald and Paul Frazer. His funeral will be held on Friday July 6th at 8:45 am from Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL 1111 Boston Neck Rd. (Route 1A) Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am in St. Mary's Star of the Sea 864 Point Judith Road, Narragansett. Burial with Military Honors will be in RI Veteran's Cemetery, Exeter. VISITING HOURS: Thursday 5-8 pm.
