GREGORY S. PORTUKALIAN
GREGORY S. PORTUKALIAN, 54 of Fairfax Dr., Warwick, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at home. Born in Providence, he was the devoted son of Robert and Hazel (Marabian) Portukalian with whom he lived.
Gregory was a graduate of Pilgrim High School and Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston. He worked in the construction industry for many years, and later worked at Providence Violin Shop in the rental and repair department. He was an active member of Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church in Providence, its Men's Club and Armenian Youth Federation.
Besides his parents, he was the dear brother of Kenneth B. Portukalian and his wife Rosemarie of Cranston; loving uncle of Robert, Joseph and Alessandra Portukalian; and dear nephew of Everett and Rose Marabian of Warwick.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Funeral Service in Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Apostolic Church, Providence at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in North Burial Ground Cemetery, Providence. VISITING HOURS THURSDAY 4-8 p.m.
