GLORIA (GIAMPIETRO) WILKS

84, of Chepachet and Port Charlotte, FL passed away on Thursday February 16, 2012 at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Wilks.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Gambuto) Giampietro. Gloria worked for F.W. Woolworth's for many years, before her retirement. She was a communicant and a Eucharistic Minister for the nursing home ministry at St. Eugene Church in Chepachet.

She was the devoted mother of Marilyn Nadeau of Chepachet, Cheryl Previte of Chepachet Robert J. Wilks of Johnston and Kevin Wilks of Chepachet; loving grandmother of eight and loving great-grandmother of six. She was the dear sister of Nancy Weintraub of Cranston and Thomas Giampietro of North Providence.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Eugene Church, 1247 Putnam Pike, Chepachet and may call at the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory 1278 Park Ave. Cranston on Monday from 4p.m. to 8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
