GLORIA L. (CEDRONE) PIRIE

GLORIA L. (CEDRONE) PIRIE

of Cranston and Naples, FL passed away on Monday at Miriam Hospital, Providence. She was the beloved wife of Jack A. Pirie. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Phillip and Teresa (Federici) Cedrone. Gloria was a branch administrator for Metropolitan Life Insurance Company for thirty-nine years before retiring in 1998. She was a graduate of Bryant College. Gloria was an avid golfer, as well as being a member and past president of Valley Country Club.

Besides her husband, she is survived by three step-children, Dr. George Pirie of Warwick, Valerie Pirie of Woonsocket, and Gordon Pirie of Cranston. Gloria was the step-grandmother of Jacqueline, Jonathan, and Brittany, and the step-great-grandmother of Matthew and Emma Mears. She was the loving sister of Edith Baccari of North Providence, Eileen Biancuzzo of Barrington and the late Dr. Dante Cedrone. Gloria was the sister-in-law of Sadie Cedrone of Bonita Springs, FL, and the brother-in-law of John Paul Biancuzzo of Barrington, and the late Mario Baccari. She was a loving and devoted aunt to Paul Cedrone, Dr. Janis Baccari, Rachael Biancuzzo, and Martin Biancuzzo II, and one grand-niece Lauren Cedrone.

Funeral from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston, on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery, Cranston.
