Gloria M. (Ellbey) Oates

85, of Cranston, passed away on Monday, February 24, 2020.  She was the beloved wife of the late William M. Oates.  Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Roxie (Mirakian) Ellbey.

Gloria worked as a waitress at The Helm Restaurant in Warwick for many years. She previously worked at Ralph’s Bull & Claw in North Providence. She was very passionate about her job.

She is survived by her loving children, Mark Giannattasio, (Retired Detective Cranston Police Department) and his wife Michelle of Sterling, CT, and Christopher Giannattasio of Cranston; cherished grandchildren Christina Giannattasio Allen, Sheri Giannattasio and great grandchildren Zachary Allen, Mackenzie Allen, Rosalea Chevalier. She is also survived by her brother Peter Ellbey, formerly of Cranston, and step-grandson Christopher Harrington, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service at R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter on Friday at 10:00 a.m.  Family will gather at the gates of the Cemetery at  9:45 a.m.
