Gloria N. (Ragosta) Halligan

91, of North Kingstown, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Cedar Crest Nursing Home in Cranston.  She was the beloved wife of the late Ramond J. Halligan.  Born in Cranston, Gloria was a daughter of the late Michele and Almarinda (Buonanno) Ragosta.  Her father was the owner and operator of the original Meatball Mike’s in Cranston.  Gloria was the Assistant Director for the RI Department of Human Services, Division of Economic and Social Services, for many years before retiring.

She is survived by her many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.  She was the dear sister to the late Ilma Bichun, Carmine Ragosta, and Michele Ragosta, Jr.

Gloria’s funeral will be held from the Nardolillo Funeral Home, SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road (Rt. 1A), Narragansett, RI on Thursday, January 13th at 10 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Bernard’s Church at 11 a.m.  VISITING HOURS are on Thursday MORNING from 9-10 a.m.  MASKS ARE REQUIRED.  Burial will take place in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard’s Church, 275 Tower Hill Rd, North Kingstown, RI 02852.
