Gloria S. (Scurti) Capuano

formerly of East Greenwich, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020.  She was the wife of the late Joseph N. Capuano, Sr. and the late Fenton W. Nelson; and mother of Johnathan Nelson and the late Marsha M. Nelson.  Born in West Warwick, she was the daughter of the late John and Maria (Ferrucci) Scurti.

Gloria was co-owner of the former Scurti’s Forge Café in East Greenwich. She enjoyed knitting and donating her knitted children’s clothing.

Her family would like to thank Cedar Crest Nursing Center staff and especially Denise for their outstanding care and love given to Gloria.

Her Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 30th at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., East Greenwich. (Seating will be limited, social distancing and masks required.) Burial at RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery will be private.
