Gloria M. (Stravato) Caniglia

93, formerly of Johnston, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Orlando P. Caniglia. 

Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Rose (D’Agnillo) Stravato. 

Gloria loved to cook Sunday dinners for her family she also enjoyed playing bingo.

She leaves three children, Diane M. Castellucci and her husband Robert of Smithfield, Debra A. Watson and her husband Todd of Mohawk, NY and Ronald O. Caniglia and his wife Karen of Coventry; a sister, Carol LaBianca of Cranston; a sister-in-law, Carol Stravato of Johnston; five grandchildren, Dina Amoriggi, Cara Rizzoli, Robert Castellucci, Daniel Watson and Dillon Watson; and eight great-grandchildren, Madelyn and Gavin Rizzoli, Adalyna, Zebulon and Evangaline Watson, Carsin Kellogg, Stella Amoriggi and Nico Castellucci. She was the sister of the late Nancy DiCostanzo, Gaetano, Louis, Edward and Robert Stravato.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10am in the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Avenue, Cranston Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITATION Saturday from 9-10am. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
