GIUSEPPE "JOE" SIMEONE

78, of Conifer Dr., North Providence, passed away on Friday, December 18, 2009 at RI Hospital in Providence surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Antonia (Simeone) Simeone. Born in Sant' Ambrogio, Italy, he was the son of the late Luigi and Giulia (Saraco) Simeone. Joe worked for D'Ambra Construction for many years as an operating engineer until his retirement. He was a very generous and kind man who was devoted to his family; loved his children and grandchildren. He was dedicated to his friends and enjoyed spending time in his beautiful garden. He was a member of Local 57.Besides his wife, he was the devoted father of Julia Simeone, Anna Simeone-Marsella and her husband Carmine and the late Maria G. Simeone; loving grandfather of Giovanni, Antonella, JoeMarco, Luca, Maria-Lisa and Nadia; and dear brother of Rosa Simeone of Johnston, Iolanda DiSotto of Toronto, Canada, the late Antonio Simeone, Pietro Simeone, Maria Civita Simeone and Rita Simeone.His funeral will be held on Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church, Academy Ave., Providence, at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery Cranston.
